Sitting on the banks of the Oxford Canal overlooking open countryside in all directions, Slinket is a spacious tipi with king size bed and wood burner to keep you warm at night. Outside you'll find a wood fired bath for two, and a converted Rice Trailer field kitchen with everything you need to put together a simple meal or BBQ. You will also find an alfresco hot shower, and hidden in the trees a short walk away is your private eco loo. Outside the tipi are wooden deckchairs with sheepskins and a kadai fire bowl, perfect for watching the world go by, while you BBQ, toast marshmallows, or relax as the occasional boat passes.

STAY
Our Tipi is 6.5 metres wide and has a comfortable wooden king size bed with a thick duvet, hot water bottles and 300 thread count linen, so you can snuggle into a warm bed at night. At the heart of the tent is a wood burning stove, keeping you warm in all weathers. We provide firewood to get you started, and can deliver more to your tent if you run out. Outside your tent are wooden deck chairs and a kadai fire bowl, where you can BBQ, toast marshmallows or use it to stay warm while you stargaze. There is an ingenious private eco loo just seconds away hidden away in the trees with a solar lit path at night.
BATHE
Just outside
the tipi is your private wood fired bath on the banks of the Oxford Canal, it
is a beautifully designed Swedish hot tub made from aluminium and oak. This is
very much an experience so please be aware it can take up to an hour for the
wood burner to heat the water, but it is worth the wait! There is also a private outdoor
heated shower beside the kitchen trailer for our tipi guests.
If you are feeling brave take a dip in our spring-fed wild swimming pond on the farm, with a wood-fired sauna beside to warm up!
COOK
Beside the tipi housed in a quirky vintage horse trailer, is a small glamping field kitchen. It has a basic kitchen with all the cooking essentials you will need for your stay, as well as a small table and chairs for those rainy days. For cooking there is a kadai firebowl to BBQ outside the tipi, as well as a small gas stove.
LARDER
Breakfast Hampers full of local produce can be ordered in advance of your stay which will be delivered to the tipi kitchen each morning for you to enjoy, as well as our own lamb for the BBQ. We are happy to take delivery of your online shop for you before you arrive, or if you are arriving late or just don’t fancy cooking there are lots of local pub suggestions and take-aways in our digital guest book which will be sent to you after booking.
